ImageMaker-C Full-Color Poster Printer

Our poster printers print in full-color to convey more information, and make your message pop. You can even print poster size photographs.

Our poster printers can print posters from a great variety of originals; books, printed material, photographs up to 8x10, 3-dimensional objects, even PDF or JPEG files on flash drives.

We offer three types of paper, all of which resist fading and can be heat laminated. We even offer photo paper that will allow you to print out poster size photographs that will look like they were done in a photo lab.

VariQuest Poster Maker 3600

Their machine prints one color at a time on one color of paper. To change the print or paper color, you have to change the supply roll.

Their machine requires the original to feed through the sheet feed scanner. That means that if your original is in a book, you will have to remove the page, or copy it first.

They have two types of paper. Only one of which will resist fading, and can be heat laminated. They have a photo mode that will give you a greyscale poster.

Details on Savings:

We have three systems to choose from, depending on your needs and your budget. Our lowest cost system costs thousands less than the VariQuest Poster Maker 3600. Even our XL model which will print up to 36” wide posters in full-color costs less than their machine.

Varitronics supplies for the VariQuest PosterMaker 3600 cost much more than supplies for the ImageMaker-C. Their permanent paper that can be laminated, and will not fade, costs $129.95 per 85 foot roll. That’s $3.82 per poster. Standard paper that will fade within a couple of months, and cannot be heat laminated, costs $99.95 per 100 foot roll. That’s $2.50 per poster.

Our paper costs $39.50 per 100 foot roll. It’s true that our machine uses ink as well as paper, but our conservative estimate of ink usage is about $18.00 per roll of paper. That works out to a total per-poster cost of about $1.51, including ink. Of course it depends on the type of posters you are printing, but one of our customers recently reported that they had gone through ten rolls of paper, and hadn’t replaced a single ink cartridge yet. All of these numbers are based on the ImageMaker Plus-C. The larger ink cartridges of the newer models will save you even more. The bottom line is that you will save from 40% to 60% or more on supplies.

Their standard paper cannot be laminated unless you use their more expensive cold laminating system, which will cost you an additional $5.00 per poster. Our laminating film costs about .40 cents per poster.

These numbers are based on list prices for supplies and machines. The supplies costs are based on our 24” wide Heavyweight paper, and their 23” paper. We also offer economy paper with an estimated cost of $1.10 per poster. Our economy paper is closer in weight to their paper, but we find that most of our customers prefer our heavyweight paper. Don’t forget, we also have photo paper for our machine. The per poster cost would be around $3.29, including ink. That’s still less than their permanent paper.
